THE CAPTAIN'S LOG

ABOUT THE CREW

A kid-run candy lab — with a parent on standby.

Astrolotl Sweets started the way most great companies do: a kid watched a YouTube video, became obsessed, and convinced their parents to buy a freeze-dryer.

Now every weekend we mix, freeze, pack, and ship from our home kitchen in Brownsville. The kid does the recipes and quality control. The grown-ups handle the boring stuff — invoices, market booth setup, hauling tables at 7 AM.

“We named it Astrolotl because axolotls are cool and so is space. Also because no one else had it.”
